Red face Trying a new design for the gecko enclosure. :)

So now that Ren is out of quarantine I have been wanting to get him into a nice permanent enclosure. It occurred to me yesterday that now that my ball python Shesha has moved up into his 50 gallon adult tank, I have a mid size tank vacant. So yesterday I set my mind to getting it cleaned and set up for him. I saw a post on a forum a while back where someone had installed shelves and ramps in their wood viv to give their gecko climbing areas (which the gecko apparently enjoyed) and I really wanted to figure out a way to do this. Since it is a glass tank it took quite a bit of shopping around, but this is what I have come up with so far. He seems content and I am hoping with a few days to settle in he will start exploring the upper areas. I know he doesn't need more than a ten gallon but I am interested to see if he will use the additional space. I have left his old tank set up as back up in case he winds up disliking the extra space, but I am crossing my fingers that he will be happy in the new set up.

    And After:

    He looks happy so far
