    Animal Plastics T3 Questions

Hello! I am new here but have been browsing for a bit now.

I'm trying to research and get the perfect setup before getting a male ball python. Looking around at all of the different PVC (& similar) cages, I think I've decided to go with AP. Anyone that has the T3- do you use the 11" flexwatt that AP can include for you? Is is large enough to provide adequate belly heat (it's just under 1/3 of the cage)? I live in Florida, room temp stays about 70-75, and am hoping that the belly heat will be enough to keep the enclosure at a good BP temperature.. I use a Zoo Med UTH on my leopard gecko tank, attached to a Hydrofarm thermostat. Would the flexwatt work well on a Hydrofarm too? Any heating help is appreciated. I'm mostly concerned with the flexwatt being too small and not heating well enough when I could just pass on it and get a slightly larger Zoo Med UTH on my own.

I like the look of the sliding glass doors and would get the lock to make sure there is no escaping. Any good reason to go for hinged doors vs sliding, or just personal preference?

They also do a stand but it's an extra $38.. what do you guys use for airflow under the tank? The Zoo Med for my leo tank came with those little clear sticky balls to slightly raise it, but I'm leaning towards the flexwatt so would need another option to raise the tank.

Any other advice is welcomed! Thank you

Depending on how much flexwat they use it should be fine with room temp close to 75 I cover about 1/3 of my four footers and keep perfect temps..I vote sliding doors all the way feeding is way Easier and I don't have a door to bump and break

Thank you! The T3 is 36x24x12 and it says the Flexwatt belly heat I can add on is 11".. I feel like it should be slightly bigger but I haven't used an insulated cage like this before, so it'll probably do better than I think. I appreciate the + for sliding doors. I figured it would be nice for feeding. I don't want to drop $$$ on a cage and then be unhappy with something that I chose ..after waiting like 10 weeks to get it built! X.X

Have u thought about a radiant heat panel RHP and for the t stat issue if your wanting to plug ur other heating pad and the flexwatt on the same one they will heat at different temps I would maybe look into one of the herpstats. I have a intro and a 4 and they are great well worth the money
