    Considering A Female

So my wife, who was dead against snakes for years and now readily handles both of ours even when I'm not home, asked me if I wanted to breed them down the road. Guess she's made a full 180. I swear I didn't push or anything! This would obviously be a long term project as both of my guys are about 6 months old right now. I have the Banana and a Normal. If anything I'd be looking to pair the Banana with something. I really like the yellow morphs. Being that this would be more on the hobby level, and I have plenty of time to set up and choose a female, I am going to look at purchasing her come November at the next Repticon unless something comes my way sooner that I can't pass up. Now the question is, what to get? I'd like to stay away from crazy expensive girls and am looking at something like a Banana Pin, Mojave, Mojave Enchi, or Champagne. A one gene female is fine for me, but would consider a double obviously. Would not mind a super of something either. So, what would the experienced breeders here suggest looking at so I can start squirreling away some cash? Remember, think long term. Both in plans and desirability of the offspring. I don't mind raising her to breeding age. And think yellow!

a cheap but awesome option would be to buy a pastel enchi female. I LOVE banana pastel enchis...they're exactly what you're looking for. A pastel enchi female at breeding size would be hard to find but a smaller one shouldn't cost more than around $300. I just picked up a proven male pastel enchi for $150. If you have any more questions let me know!

Enchi Yellow Belly would work well with banana. Since your in no rush look at different banana morphs till you see the one that youvsay thats the one.

Both of those sound like good options. Been playing with the genetics wizard on WOBP seeing what might happen.

My suggestion is to keep playing around with the wizard and see what you like. The good thing is it seems like a lot of clutches are coming slowly this year so the November show should be pretty good as far as hatchlings go. I should be there a good chunk of the weekend hanging out and my son helps out one of the vendors by showing kids that snakes and lizards are safe and fun to handle. They made him an honorary employee last year so he get's in for free, lucky kid!
