Hi, I was wondering if the type of cage plays a big role in breeding. Would you recommend tub/rack or should they breed just as well in a glass aquarium? Thanks!

I have quite a few friends who use different types of enclosures. Most of them racks but a friend of mine strictly uses PVC. Another friend of mine uses a combination of PVC, racks, tanks. I swear his snake room is a huge mess with cages of all types and sizes scattered everywhere. I have found no difference in the results honestly.

As long as you can maintain proper care techniques such as temperate, and humidity. Provide them with a secure environment, and they can be kept any way you choose. Most just choose racks because you can fit the most amount of animals in a confined space. You have vertical space being used more efficiently.

I've done both and it makes no difference provided your husbandry is correct. The advantage with the aquarium is you can witness the process without disrupting them. With tubs you have to pull it out to take a look. The dance is something to see with the tail wagging and the male resting his head on the females back, etc.
