ID Check - Triple Gene Enchi Fire YBs?

This highlighter gene pairing is fun to identify! Now that they've shed, what are you thoughts on these two ladies? I would greatly appreciatte some unbiased eyes and input. Pairing was Enchi Fire Yellow Belly x Busy-ish Normal. Thank you!

My guess is #1 is an Enchi Fire and #2 is an Enchi.

Did I win? If so, is the prize #1?

Truthfully, I keep going back and forth with these two. It's going to take some fattening up and possibly a shed or two to clarify itself.

After talking last night to a a few people who work with these genes more, I've ruled YB out of the equation for both of these girls. When side by side with all of my others in this clutch (which have obvious YB), there's definitely a difference in belly pattern. Unfortunately, this means that I didn't hit the triple in this clutch. Bummer!

Depending on who I talk to, the last two girls are either both Enchi Fires, both Fires, or a Fire and an Enchi. The first girl is definitely Fire, but looks like there's something more going on that is steering me towards Enchi Fire right now. From looking around, the dot on her head is also pretty common in Enchi Fires. The color isn't quite what I'd expect from Enchi yet though, so that's why I'm torn. The second girl has a similar Fire look to her when these two are side by side (not as obvious as the first, but I think it's there), but has that orange color creeping up the sides that says she's Enchi to me. The headstamp is completely different from the first though, which is why some folks don't think she's got Fire.

It's way too early for me to have a witty reply to this, so I'll go with a simple no for now.

Personally, I see Fire in both, on the fence about Enchi though.

The first one is an awesome fire .

The 2nd one I'm on the fence on whether it's a fire or normal. I'm leaning more towards normal though .

the belly shot of the second one makes me lean towards normal. First one I see similarities to my fire when she was a hatchling

I tend to agree. At least for now...

I was thinking at least an awesome Fire for the first one too, but I keep going back to "there just looks like there's something extra going on that I can't put my finger on". And shut your mouth on the "normal" word. Of course they're very variable, but really? Normal? Mom definitely had a part in messing with the nice, clean Enchi that dad should've passed along. I think that's what's screwing around with these two more than anything. She plays very well with Fire and YB, but less so with Enchi. So noted for next season.

Not you too! There's definitely going to be some time taken on these two before I call it.

    ^ I think that's my thing. With a Enchi Fire I expect a much cleaner/brighter looking animal.

haha, the first 2 say enchi, the 3rd says maybe normal? then the last one says normal .

Typically, when you can see the enchi head pattern, it has that clover look that's brought out more when pastel is added (due to the blushing). Haha, the last 2 pics left a salty taste in my mouth, so I'd like to recant my first suggestion, and switch to Enchi. Post pics of the parents?

An excuse to take pictures of Baxter? Sure! I'll see how well he fits in the light tent once I'm home tonight. Mom certainly won't, but I'll do my best with her.
