I get paid in ball pythons
hahaha, so long story short, I work for a ball python breeder that has about 70 bp's with awesome clutches constantly hatching. I clean cages, feed, etc... but instead of money, I get snakes!! the reason I took the job in the first place was for experience, because I just LOVE ball pythons, even if I am cleaning snake crap, (I have a few of my own and plan on breeding next year) so I just love being a part of the whole thing. and in return, I get bp's.
now that you all know my whole situation, I was just wondering if any of you have any tips on selling baby ball pythons??? (I currently have a pastel yellowbelly) and I want to avoid shipping, so I want to keep the selling local.

Why do you want to avoid shipping?
As for selling, pretty much local websites like Kijiji or Craigs List or FB webpages as well. Reptile buy and sell FB groups are FULL of reptile breeders and enthusiasts always on the look out. Also, the truth never hurts. Have a 6 year old ball python that has never bred for you, have a snappy ball python you are trying to get rid of, it never hurts to mention that in the advertisement. This will place you as truthful and place more trust in your potential and current customers. Getting good reviews is never a bad thing. Getting out to the community is also a good way of doing things. Have co-workers, tell them what you do. Many will cringe but the guy in the cubical beside you may love snakes and over hear the conversation. There are also the reptile expos. It costs to vend but many breeders pay that money not to only sell but also to get their name out there. Create your own Facebook page and have your friends like and share it.
It takes time though. Especially depends on how comfortable you are talking to people you do not know. Depends on how many friends are willing to help you by advertising, sharing and liking.

considering that you have a pastel yb girl and you don t want to ship your future hatchlings. get more double gene females in very of easy ne year later get a male for (4 females) . Depending of what your employer have i ll go for lesser/butter , fire/vanilla, enchi, mojave, orange dream, yb/specter/spark/gravel, leopard, spider, pastel, calico/sugar/flame... double gene combo.
next year add a super pastel + one or two genes male according to your females.
example 1 costy girls and quite expensive boy:
girls: pastel YB, fire enchi, lesser spider, Orange dream mojave.
boy: super pastel enchi or super pastel leopard or super pastel calico
example 2 cheap girls and quite expensive boy:
girls: pastel YB, firefly, bumblebee, pastave
boy: calico super pastel or leopard superpastel or orange dream superpastel
With those 2 project you will hatch fashionable snakes, affordable, no normals and also great holding back 3 and 4 banger snakes to upgrade your collection.
of course there are billion of possibilities but if you get my point you won t have to keep hatchlings forever like i do with specter males , Yb males really hard to sell.
hope that helps
