Shed

I've heard that super pastels shed skin looks different than normal? Is this true? And if so whats's the difference?

I've noticed with some of my snakes, the super pastel being one of them, that the shed retains some of the color and pattern but I think a couple of my snakes do this, whereas others leave a more patternless and colorless shed. I'm really reaching here though, can't wait to see if anyone else comes up with something else.
