Quick question about THG Heat tape

Does THG Heat Tape heats up from both sides?
im building a new rack but this time i dont want to cut the heat tape for
each level instead i want to run it from top to bottom with a single strip
but in some levels the heat tape will be upside down
hope you get the point if not let me know

It will heat both ways. I use it as one long piece in both of my racks.
