Pvc enclosures?
I've seen this type of enclosure mentioned several times, but I haven't been able to find an explanation on them.
Are they better than regular store bought terrariums? How do you get them, and what is the price range for getting one?
I've seen a photo of one and I love how they look....I'm considering getting one when we upgrade to a larger enclosure as Delilah gets bigger.

PVC is terrible for the environment, but is great for low cost enclosures. they hold in humidity exceptionally well due to the design, and not so much the material itself. There are a few manufactures in the US. The most often recommended seems to be Animal Plastics.

Way way way better then FISH tanks. There are many different companies that makes them animal plastics, boaphile ,monster cages. They are well worth every penny they hold heat and humidity great and provide more comfort for the animals

Re: Pvc enclosures?
The idea that they hold in humidity well is making them really appealing. We are still having a huge humidity issue....I covered the part of the top that didn't have a light on it with foil, and we got a fogger. The fogger will bring it up to where it should be, but as soon as it shuts off it drops back down to about 20%. I've tried Moss. It just dries out. She seems happy and healthy but I want her parameters to be right.
I'm definitely going to look into the pvc enclosures for her next terrarium!

Re: Pvc enclosures?
I just got two Animal plastics T8's a month ago and I love them. Look great, holds humidity well and are secure. They are 150$ each plus whatever accessories you get. Check their website out. They are great to work with too, great customer service

Thanks, I will check them out! One question, how do you use lighting with them? And UTHs?

Re: Pvc enclosures?
I use radiant heat panels from pro products. They actually ship the panels right to AP so they can install them for you. The only lighting I use is led lights for looks and to see better when cleaning. You can use flexwatt if you want but with the heat panels you don't need anything else umless your ambient temps in the room where snake is kept get severely low
