Babies - Butter Daddy Clutch / "Platty Bee"

New clutch this week, bred Butter Daddy x Butterbee. I've attempted this pairing a couple times in hopes of creating a "Platty Bee", and believe I finally got one! Pics below, clutch produced: 0.2 Butter Daddy's, 0.1 Platty Bee, 1.0 Butterbee, 1.2 Spiders & 1.0 Het Platty.

    Mom

    Full clutch

    pair of Butter Daddy girls

LOOK AT THAT! I didn't really believe in the het Daddy gene cus I never came across any pictures that really solidified a gene at play. But wow! The difference between those two is more than just natural variance. Impressive and congrats. Please post pics after it sheds.

thanks. Agree, I was also skeptical whether the platty gene would carry over but appears so. I'll post another side-by-side after sheds. Appreciate all the other sentiments as well. cheers,

Would the spiders be het daddy as well? IIRC it was assumed to work the same way mystic potions did, where if you didn't hit the one gene, you got the other. Was that disproven?

Great question, was actually wondering the same? According to Ralph Davis who sold me my original female, in his experience the Platty gene only carried over to normals. Yet I don't have the experience, so not sure. Perhaps others might know? thanks,
    David

Congrats! Great job and healthy looking hatchlings also. They all look great! What did you keep the incubation temperature at?
Stay in peace and not pieces.
