Just wanted to share this and see if anyone else has had experiences like this. First of all i have 3 bp..... 2 normal girls and a killerspinnerblast male. I feed them all frozen thawed.
The story here is both of the girls need the rat at a good temp and the zombie dance! When i first got the boy he refused the dance 2 weeks in a row. I had always taken out the rat having read that if balls dont strike when there warm and act scared that they wont eat.
I contacted the breeder and asked what the deal is i asked should i leave the rat in the enclosure? He said you can try but ball pythons normally dont eat dead animals all though other breeds of snakes that he breeds will. So what the heck i tried and it was gone!
i have never had him strike off the tongs even though i try for a few secs everytime before i lay it in the tub. He has never missed a meal since.... Heres the kicker though i always check because i dont want the rat to go bad. I started checking half hour.... Rat still there a hour still there 2 hours..... Most of the time gone by now. So not only does he want it still he seems to perfer it to be room tempature..... Everytime cold and still....
I was just wondering if anyone else seems to have had the same type of behavior
