    How to induce pooping

I skipped this weeks feed because I'm going on a short vacation this weekend but they still haven't pooped from the previous feed. It's only a two day vacation, but should I clean their tubs in hopes of them pooping so they don't sit in it? Or will it potentially make them poop over the weekend when I'm gone?

they dont poo every time they eat, sometimes they can go multiple feeding before giving you a nice brown present, but cleaning the cage does seem to trigger the a'hole in all snakes, cause nothing says i appreciate your hard work like destroying the fresh cleaned cage

Exercise often gets things moving, especially a swim in a few inches of lukewarm water.

Putting mine onto a lilly white dry-clean only down comforter also works, but I don't recommend it.

Inducing poop is easy. Just invite friends and family over to see your reptile collection. Guaranteed they will all poop, slither through it, and produce copious amounts of fodder for everyone to question why you keep large snakes.

One pooped but the other doesn't seem to be ready so hopefully she'll be fine. Now, the question is do I leave them covered with a towel like I do at night for the entire 2 days or not?

Some of my 1000+ gram snakes only poop on average once a month or longer in some cases. I wouldn't worry about it especially if gone for only 2 days. I've got an 8 day trip and I'm not worried about it.

As for the towel thing, I'm not sure what you're talking about? Do you mean you cover their whole tub every night with a towel?

Some of my large ones go 1+ months without a waste. Although it may speed things up by letting then move in your hands and exercise those muscles. Another thing could be a cage cleaning. Mine always waste within 24 hours of a cleaning.

Lol I cover the front of their rack to hold heat at night although now that it's summer it's probably unnecessary.

gotcha, depending where you are you're likely right. Here in NC it's been in the 90's all week with tomorrow pushing 95 so I have to make sure the AC is working.
    Cheers, Jeff
