Morpheus is entering his first shed . His eyes were all blue , now since yesterday morning , they are clearing again . Yet , I still see no skin shed in his house . I read that their eyes clear before they actually shed - but how clear do they get ? Also - how long now , before the skin actually starts to come off ?

    Shedding Question

Before the shed comes off the eyes get clear again, but they lack the luster of post shed eyes and skin.

For Issa, it's usually about 2 days after his eyes have "recleared" that his skin acutally comes off.

    Shedding questions...

lol, my snake just shedded, and it was a little scare to see the skin at first! But then again, it took me a second to realize what had hapened. the skin looks so neat! I kinda saw some of the markings real dull in the shedded skin. I would definatly take a real close look at the shedded skin, looks really neat IMHO. Best of luck!

Morpheus's eyes have been clear for almost four days now , and he still hasn't shed ! Is somthing wrong ?! He's also been sleeping alot more than usual , spending most of his time in the cool side hide ! Are these things normal , or is somthing wrong ?!

    Nothing is wrong.

As long as you have the humidity up to where it should be, he will shed when he is ready, just be paitient.

Ok , whew . lol Don't mean to be a worrywart , but almost everything I read said they shed two days after the eyes clear . I've been keeping his humidity between 75 - 85 % , depending on how soon the towel dries . That ok ?

Sounds good to me. Two days after is just a generalization. I've seen them go as long as 5 or 6 days before they shed after the eyes clear up. Good luck and make sure to get some new pics

Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whomever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya.
