So today I took Leonidas out to enjoy the grass/sun, he's been super friendly and tolerant to handling lately and I wanted to give him some exercise. I was holding him and he's usually really squirmy and tries to get away but today he was really curious about my hair/face/head.
So my neighbor comes out and sees him and instead of being afraid, she was really interested and kept commenting on how cute he is and how beautiful his pattern is. While i was talking to her, a guy gets out of his car and he's like "wow is that a python??" so of course I took the time to educate them on balls and how they're not the stereotypical snakes from your nightmares.
From there I went to find my sister to tell her our mother wanted her to come in and the news had spread. By the time I got around the corner kids and adult had gathered and all wanted to hold him and ask me questions. My sister is in kindergarten and she was so happy because I tell her all the time that some people don't like snakes and this was her first really positive experience with others. I'm so proud of Leo! he was friendly, not head shy AT all and showed no stress (I kept a very close eye on him of course) and one woman in particular expressed how this was the most amazing experience she had ever had!I've been falling in love with him more and more and I couldn't be happier!
