Does he look underweight?
I've had my boy Elwood for about a month now and when I bought him the people at Petco said they thought he was about 4 months old. Weighing him today he weighs about 190 grams. Is this underweight for his age?

Maybe a little. Every snake is different, but I personally would think at least another 60 or so grams. That is if that is truly it's age. But I'm sure some of the breeders also might chime in with their thoughts. But if it was mine, I'd boost its weight. And believe me, I'm no over feeder by any means. Hope that helps.

Thanks, how do you suggest I do that? I'm considering going to two adult mice a week but I'm not sure how he'd react to that.

It really depends. Snakes grow at such different rates. You can never "guess"a snakes age. He looks healthy. As long as he eats well and is not losing weight, there is nothing to worry about.

That bp looks good in my opinion one adult mouse should be more than enough food for him at that size i would shorten his feeding days first before i offer two in one sitting

So maybe one every 5 days instead of 7?

Yes in my opinion i wouldn't back them down to seven days until they are at the 500gm mark at least how big are the adult mice you're feeding him?

I personally would feed him one adult mouse every five days. At the very least till he got to be over 500 grams, with that optimisticly being around a year old. Good luck.

Not sure I'll weigh one of them today, but my other ones just under 350gm but is eating one small rat a week, is that fine? Sorry I'm pretty new to all this.
