Mite Nix is now organic?

I was researching mite treatment options, and looking how to buy a Permethrin product "nix" on Amazon.com. I realize this is a very strong chemical and has been discussed extensively on this site. What surprised me is that I found this product Easy Air Organic Formerly Mite Nix being sold. The company says: Mite-Nix allergy relief spray is an organic product, made from all natural ingredients. Purified water, grapefruit extract and other vegetable and fruit extracts.

So either this isn't the "NIX" talked about here, or it is but they have changed their ingredients?

Has anyone heard of this new formula being used for snake mites?

I'm pretty sure permethrin ((nix)) isnt organic, as it seems to be more chemical according to this research

so I wouldn't reccomend it for snake treatment unless it is EXTREMELY diluted
also it seems that the 'Mite-Nix' you are looking at is an allergen suppressor, meant to rid places of dust mites and allergens

RagingReptiles -- Re:organic, right, that's my point. The link I provided indicates the new version of Mite-Nix does NOT have permethrin. I'm asking if anyone knows anything about this change beyond what I've stated. Thanks.

I think the Nix product they were talking about is a lice product or something similar. It's not a product designed for treating mites on snakes, it's a product that's used because it has Permethrin in it. You dilute it properly and it functions the same as Provent-A-Mite.

A couple of months ago I had mites. I used a combination of Provent-A-Mite and a bottle of Reptile Spray. The combination worked very well for me.

Nix, at least in the US, is a product that is intended for treating head lice in humans. When properly diluted, it can be an effective treatment for mites. No idea about the product you listed. Diluted nix and provent-a-mite have worked great for me. Planning to try the reptile relief if the problem ever comes up again.

NIX is a brand name for a head lice treatment product in the US. Another brand is RID.

The "Mite-Nix" product you posted is for treating dust mites and other allergens, not head lice.
