How do I increase heat and humidity?

Hi🏽 I just got a baby ball python a couple of days ago. I have a 10gallon glass tank, infrared light that is kept on all the time, and a heat pad under the tank. I looked up so many things but it doesn't seem to be working. I have put a towel over the cool side of the tank to increase humidity. I have a humidifier in the room. I spray the tank.

I cannot buy another tank until he needs a larger tank, like a plastic one.

My last ideas are getting moss and.getting another lamp and maybe changing the substrate. But I hope the substrate can be a last resort

So, if anyone can share what they have set up themselves or tips, please please help me🏽

The humidity is usually around 50. And the temp is usually around 70.

Thumbs up Re: How do I increase heat and humidity?

First, make sure you get a thermostat for the heat pad. This way you will be able to dial in the exact temperature that you need! Second, go to petsmart or either petco or petland buy a "versa top" that fits a 10 gallon tank. The versa top will assist you in raising your humidity and it will help with your ambient temperatures. Best of luck.

Or you can also cover most of the top in foil. Will help contain humidity.
