Greetings everyone! I have a 2008 female albino ball python ( 7 yrs old), weighs approx. 2100 grams, about 4 1/2 feet long ( puppy tame) . Thinking of getting a baby male ball python this year and plan on breeding them together next year . I read about the female being ready for breeding at 3 years old, 1500 grams minimum . My question is : since my female will be 8 yrs old next year , is she going to be too old to breed for the first time? At what age would you consider a female too old to breed specially virgin females? What age should you retire a female from the breeding program ? Appreciate any of your input and opinions regarding this matter.
