I usually only feed kitty once every, almost 2 weeks, but lately it has been more internmitant than that, for a variety of reasons. Suffice to say, he has not been getting as much as he could. I fed him a week ago today, he passed urates yesterday, should I feed him again today? If not how long should I wait?

You could feed weekly. I see no reason you wouldn't be able to feed today - why would you wait for urates?

I didn't wait for them, I reallt don't find tham that interesting. haha. I just thought I would mention it incase someone was thinking about asking when his last motion was. Ok well, I will try to feed tonight then. Good stuff

I feed my younger, growing BPs once a week. I stick with the once weekly feeding for my small ones, who are around 3 feet.
I only feed Goblin, who's full grown, once every two weeks. Believe he, this even seems to be too often, as he is completely massive now and bordering on fat. Think I'll cut back to once every three weeks. But young' growing BPs should be fed weekly if they'll take it.

OK LOL - threw me there and left me wondering what the urates/eating myth might be.

Yeah, Ihave heard that stuff about movements and feeding scheduals, but I do nt go by that, as kitty can go very rarely or twice in a week. I fiugre they aren't related, but incase someone did I wanted to let them know tht he had in fact done his stuff, hahaha

It looks like Eddie Murphy as his SNL Gumby character.
Back on topic, I'm sticking to the method of feeding once a week until I have to start feeding medium rats. Then I'll move it to once every 10-14 days, depending on how filling it is.

Like my solution to things feeding related most of the time, I say starve him. Well, cool him as well. Even if you're not breeding it doesn't hurt to have him going in a cycle under your control, rather than having him go off feed in seemingly random times. It's perfectly healthy for him, and you'll save yourself a few months worth of food as well, so it's a win-win situation.

That may be ok if your snake is a good eater otherwise, which mine isn't. Kitty can support going off feed.
