    Hatch date??

This clutch was dropped by one of my normal females! It was layed on the 20th march (pre lay shed on 9th feb ...9 days late) so if the clutch was laid late is it reasonable to assume that the eggs Will a little earlier hatch early??

You can breed and hatch all year long as long as you can get and maintain the proper temps for breeding.. they will not hatch early

    Re: Hatch date??

I think you have misunderstood the question! The mother held on to the eggs for 39days after PLS that is 9 days over befor finally laying them! So my question are these eggs better started in the incubation period as opposed to eggs that are laid 30 days after PLS?? Sorri for the confusion! And thanx for the input

I don't think it will have much of an impact on their incubation period. She may have taken longer to lay because they developed at a slower rate - I've seen a few other people mention keeping their snakes in cooler temps and having longer times between PLS and laying. No one mentioned compensated hatch dates, though.

They will not hatch any sooner.

Had a female go 49 days PLS last year and everything was out on day 57. Don't think it matters. Start counting when you see eggs.

Nope even if your clutch is 5, 10, 15 or even 20 days late the eggs still take 55 to 60 days to hatch.
