    Assisting?

My 5month old struck and attempted to eat the large mice but he is having trouble turning him to his head in order to eat him. Its been like 30 min. Should i try to use tongs to turn the mice before he looses intrest in it or just let him figuer it out?

Just whatever you do, always consider feeding as a real last resort because it can cause unnecessary stress to the snake and he will probably lose all of his trust for you. Normally, when my BP shows interest but does not strike at it, I keep zombie dancing and then if that doesn't work, re-heat the body of the animal and offer it again. If he doesn't take it that time, he'll have to wait another week.
