    Broken herpstat 1?

I was moving my herpstat and dropped it about an inch off the top of my rack. It was only an inch, probably less, but now it is struggling to get past 30%. I forget what that setting is called but it's the one where it reads off how hot it is and if it goes past the heat you have it set at it goes to 0% until it starts to drop, then back up again. It's sitting at 93.9 and I have it set for 94, so guess it is ok but to my knowledge the device has never done this before. Just jumping from 27%-31%. Is my tstat ruined and a potential danger now?

Edit: it just hit 94.1 and is now jumping from 0%-30%
It use to go up to 100% and then drop to 0% until it dropped by a degree or two and then would slowly make its way to 100% again

Ok, I think it's all ok. I just moved the probe off the heat tape for a second to test it and it seems to be fine. I just overreacted!
