Re: Possible rescue, need advice!
Personally, I would take the snake and forget the tank. Half of the problem will be solved that way. Is there any heat gradient in the tank? Poor little guy looks very stressed! Maybe you can do a temporary set up until you can get him into a appropriate enclosure? Any thing that you can put together will be better than that dirty infested tank he's in now. Definitely quarantine him in another room for sure! Make sure you check to see if he is wheezing or has any noisy respirations. Check for mites and wear gloves when you pick him up or reach into that tank. Good luck and kudos to you.

I wasn't going to keep the tank for him anyway. I was going to clean it out and possibly use it for my hermit crabs haha. I keep my snakes in tubs and I think he'd be comfy in an appropriate sized tub with some nice enclosed hides.
I have no idea what she has in there. All I know is my heart breaks for that poor little thing!!

If you kept the tank everything would need to be super deep cleaned. And yes you want to keep him separate from your others, wear gloves, wash hands when you switch from doing stuff for him to your snakes. No handling until he gets healthy anyway. Poor baby... IDK how people can let an animal get like this
0.1 Lesser Pastel
1.0 Black Spooky Kitty
0.1 Faye Tiny Kitty
?.? Feral Cat Colony
And more on the way always....

Me neither!! It's just horrible.
How would I deep clean? I wouldn't be in any rush to switch my crabs over. They're in a big tote right now. Empty and bleach the glass? I'm not sure if that's safe for my crabs. I might have to pop onto my hermie site to see. Or I could just sell the tank.
Anyway! I messaged her and I'm really, really hoping to hear back!! If she gets back to me, I'm going to see if I can pick him up tomorrow.

Since I don't have any F10 yet for my snake cleaning, I will tell you what I do. 1/10 bleach hot water solution, scrub reeeally well, rinse even better in hot water and put it on its side by a fan until it is completely dry. But TBH if you're not needing to move them and you have a setup for the corn, sell that thing. I wish I had started out with my BP in an enclosure or rack instead of doing my tank thing. It's such a pain. I hope she gets back with you ASAP. Poor little fellow needs a new home

Gorgeous corn though he is skinny. My noodle was super skinny when I got him and he has filled out in no time. He is my best eater now and will launch himself out of his tub to grab the mouse before I even get over to him.LOL he is a hoot.
