    Is my BP too skinny?

Just wanted to know what everyone thought. She's about 780 grams and 41'' long. She's a sporadic eater and lately I've been wondering if she's too skinny.

Looks too angular for me. The high peaked back is a sign of being underweight. But I can't quite tell.

    Here are some more pictures:

At least she seems energetic when I take her out and she flicks her tongue frequently.

I would say a little skinny. But as long as she is eating she should be fine.

Re: Is my BP too skinny?

I think she's at a decent weight. She doesn't look malnourished to me. Not as plump as some, but I wouldn't go as far as calling her skinny. She looks fairly muscular. As long as she's not losing weight, I think she's fine.

I have 16 BPs right now and I've noticed weight/size variation between snakes with almost identical feeding schedules. Even within the same clutch! I have a few that tend toward chunkiness (they always look fat even though they're not eating any more than the others). I also have one smallish 2011 male who seems to stay very lean no matter how much he eats.

    I don't think she's TOO skinny.

But then I prefer the lean side over chunky. They wil live longer that way.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

I would agree that she is just fine if she's eating. She definitely has a leaner look, but I think she still looks healthy.
