    Possible Pick Up

Came across this deal from a local and may be going to pick her up. She is an almost 2 year old female fire. Price is 100$ give or take. Let me know what you all think

That's a nice fire for a pretty good price.

Do you know the size? Remember to ask the right questions for example if the animal is 2 years old but small it could be a poor feeder etc

From what I have been told, she is a great eater. They keep the animal as a pet and have just been overwhelmed between the kids and the number of snakes they currently own. I would normally be super cautious...which is why I have not bought anything off of CL in the past, but they are insisting on me coming to the house with my kids to come look at her and see if she is healthy. In my experience people trying to scam you would not be this open. Ill be heading over next week to get a pre visit check on the snake before I purchase.

Just wanted to get some of your inputs on the possible purchase/quality of the snake.

    Thanks all

I would see what they mean by "great eater". To some, that could mean "one mouse every single month without missing a single meal ever"! I don't think it's necessarily a case of being on the lookout for a scammer, more of a being on the lookout for a less-than-knowledgeable keeper and being prepared for your new addition.

I'm also impresses that they'd be willing to let you take the snake to a vet pre-purchase. Good on them (and you) if that's the case. It's certainly not the norm.

Sadly they have people going to look at it before I can even make it out there. Most likely going to be gone before I get a chance at getting it. 100$ for a solid female fire is a good deal. We shall see if its meant to be.

I completely agree, which is why I was going to go out there and get some face to face interaction with the keeper. They have answered every question I have asked and were encouraging me to come out and "window shop". I haven't had any red flags come up yet but we shall see.
