BRB has silver spots on his back?
My baby male Brazilian Rainbow Boa has a couple silverish spots on his back. They just appeared recently. He just got mites in his tub, do mites cause these spots? Im waiting on a mite treatment spray to be delivered. I have a couple pictures but I dont know to upload them.

Might be mite poop. Iirc, mite poop is either silvery or white, don't remember now. Have you tried to wipe them off? Do they come off? Does the scale under them look funky or raised? And when you treat for mites, remember to treat around the tubs too as the mites can get into carpets, drapes, furniture, pretty much anything.

Well without actually seeing pics of it, no way to know, Do the scales looks weird like raised, eaten away, or damaged? If they look fine, then I would probably just chalk it up to coloring/pattern. I don't own any BRBs so I'm not really familiar with them but I know snakes can develop more or colors as they age. Like my big BCI girl has been developing more salmon coloring on her sides with each shed as she ages and she is now 3 years old.

The color on my BRB definitely changes over time. Definitely has some silver sheen. Are the spots symmetrical?

Hmm kind of hard to see but do they look like the scale is just colored or does the scale look "funky", like its lifting or corroding/rotting? Honestly, from the pictures, I would probably watch it and make sure it doesn't grow. To me, it doesn't look like a pattern but then again, im not really familiar with BRBs. Maybe someone who has BRBs will chime in. I know they get a silver sheen on them but like I said, those are just a couple scales which makes me worry a little.

Re: BRB has silver spots on his back?
He just got mites last week and I just got the mite spray today. Could it be the mites causing this? Its doing that down some of his spine.
