    "WHY a snake??"

Hey everyone! Over the last few months, I've had various encounters with people desperately asking me why I own a snake/reptile--as though I've committed some sort of a crime! I know most of us in the reptile community have probably been faced with such questions and mean comments about owning/keeping our scaly friends. I wanted to share this beautiful article I found online about reptile ownership and how we, as reptile owners, are "not weird" or "evil", but that we are as "normal" and "heavenly" (lol) as a typical dog owner can be. So sit back and relax, it is a long read, but if you have only but time to kill you'll appreciate this awesome article as much as I did. Let me know what you think! Enjoy

Reptiles don't bark. They don't shed as often as dogs and cats. They also require less maintance, than your average pet.
