red underbelly, help?

So I have a ball python, and he went through a completely healthy shed a few weeks ago. I noticed a red tint of a line on his underbelly right before the shed, but when I looked it up, it said it was just signs of shedding about to occur, so I didn't worry about it. However, it's been weeks and it has not gone away. He doesn't seem to be having any issues, he eats around 2 medium sized mice every few days, but I know he can't be going through another shed so soon. Does anyone have any insight on to what this may be?

Hi, we are going to need pictures of the bp and also the area that is affected. It could be so many possibilities. We need the husbandry background also as soon as you can.

I was using reptibark, but my friend who is apart of a reptile rescue suggested for me to try Aspen shavings.
And I will post a picture as soon as I can, I'm currently on my phone, and I can't find where I could upload one.

What are your temps? Hot side surface and what is the ambient air temp?

I have a 75watt uv bulb on one side (it was a 100watt, but that broke last night) , and his water dish on the other. I have no heating pads or rocks in his habitat, and it's around a 40 gallon tank.
I also have a heater that normally is on in my room all the time. My room stays around 70 degrees F, and his habitat stays around 75F+

You need to pick up a few things. A digital thermometer, you can get them at petco, a no contact thermometer (the one with the lazer).. The ambient temperature (the one that the digital thermometer reads) should be in the low to mid 80s. The non contact thermometer should read one side as 90ish, and the other side as in the 80s. I'm using a 60w and a 40w and my temperatures are perfect. If you're using a 100w or a 75w in the same size tank as mine, your temps probably aren't right. Ball pythons are easy to care for if you have the right tools. Please pick up those few things. Your snake should have a water dish large enough for it to lay in. And two separate hides, one on each side. Don't have any belly heat (heat rocks, heating pads etc).

I don't have any belly heating objects in my tank. I know how they can malfunction, and I didn't want that to happen to mine.
I'm still unsure of why his belly would look like that though without having any heating objects under the tank.
