50% SD at 2 and 3 years age
Small update since I had these two out today for some picks. I will be downsizing my projects with new laws starting in 10 days and these will be gone by then - however for those curious as to growth potential and timelines for growth on SD crosses this will help a little. Check my YouTube channel for more detailed discussions
Super tiger SD at 2 years old. She's pelt gaining in length and added most of this in the last year or so.
3 year old sibling 50% SD tiger
These are both second generation crosses. Meaning the parents were first generations crosses and then the parents were crossed to get these. The results are smaller staying individuals. I don't expect the tiger girl to add much length any more but start packing weight with heavier meals. She'll be breed ready in another 10-18 months.
For reference. First generation crosses can exceed 12' my first generation cross male tiger is at 11' at the moment. So be careful buying those first generations unless this is the size factor you are after.

Nice. So about what generation would you look for if you want a SD that stays in the 6-8' range or thereabouts?

75% female will nail it down since it is a cross between a first generation and a wild caught pure or captive bred pure. This will give you smaller results than an f2 50%

Ok so a 75% SD will stay in the 6-8' even a first generation? I mean I doubt ill find anything here in Washington State when/if I decide to get a retic but its good to know what I should be looking for and what to expect for size as I'm not looking for a 14' snake. Thanks.

yeah, because a 75% cant be a first generation. It has to be a cross between a 100% and 50% (Pure x F1 = second generation) or a 75% x 75% (3rd generation).
