    Any good rat forums?

I'm going to give rat and mouse breeding a go again. I have two girl rats I'm raising up as future breeders. They are young (5-6 weeks or so) so I have some time. Id like to find a good rat forum so I can discuss care and handling. These girls will be like pets, as will some of their offspring as I expand.

You can look under the "feeders" sub forum on this site or try Ratforum.com

The rat section on this forum isn't very active so I was looking for outside forums. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check it out.

I use ratforum.com.. BUT be aware that they are strictly anti-breeding, so keep that aspect of your hobby on the down low. They are good about giving general advice, I just don't mention anything about breeding or owning reptiles there.

I am also on two FB rat groups (rat breeders and feeder breeders) they are pretty active, you just have to be aware of the drama factor that FB brings and not react if someone starts trolling.

I don't know of any breeding - friendly rat forums online.. There used to be an Australian one, but it shut down.

Thanks for letting me know. I am more looking for a breeding friendly one. I used to belong to one a long time ago that was feeder breeder friendly but I can't remember it.

California Rat Breeders on facebook is pretty good and feeder breeder friendly. You don't have to be in Ca. to be a member and there are some pretty knowledgeable folks there.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

The 'show' / pet rat community is truly miserable.

California Rat Breeders is pretty good on Facebook. Rat Breeders is meh - lots of members so you can get good input but have to wade through a lot of garbage.

Any web forum is going to represent the truly miserable population, unfortunately.

"California Rat Breeders" and "Rat, Mouse, & ASF breeders" on Facebook.

"Rat Breeders" on facebook is an absolute joke and a drama fest. The admins ban everyone who doesn't agree with their crappy advice.
