New to the world of snakes and already loving it

Hi there! My name is Nicole and as of today I've been the loving owner of a ball python for exactly a week! I've always loved snakes and have always wanted one and my parents always said no, but I went out and bought one anyways. His name is Kraken and he is a 7 month old basic ball python. I work as a kennel attendant at my local veterinary hospital which thankfully has a doctor who specializes in exotics so he has already been checked out and is a-okay! I live in Upstate New York and have all my life, I haven't traveled much out of the state but when I did it was to Disney World in Florida, a rodeo in PA, and my brother's Navy boot camp graduation in Great Lakes, Illinois. Horses are basically my entire life, I barrel race over the summer and trail ride and I just love to spend time with my horse. I'll be headed to Morrisville State College in the fall so hey hit me up if that's where you'll be!

Being a new member of the herp world I'm going to have lots of questions so I won't care how detailed you get into your advice, I'd take an essay over a couple sentences if that's how you roll or vice versa!

    Welcome to the forums

My girlfriend and I are also in Upstate New York, near Sodus New York.

Ask as many questions as you can, then look for cover. Discussions here can get heated fast.

    David

There are plenty of nice, good members here that can answer all af your questions.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Hey welcome to the site! I have a horse as well. I don't do barrels or anything like that I just do it to relax. What type of horse do you have? To reptiles do you plan on getting more snakes in the future?
