Well thats how it is here, i would just call your vet and ask them.
Ive never taken any of my snakes to the vet but i called and asked how much it would be just for the peace of mind,I got both of my snakes probed by a local breeder, she didnt charge me anything.

It seems to really vary by area and vet. Just call and ask - they'll give you a quote no problem.

You can now get health insurance for your animals, I have not looked into it, but supposedly it can save you money. However, I dont know if you can get it for reptiles, I would assume so since it is still an animal. Hmm, might be worth checking into for those of us who have multiple animals in our homes from furries to cold bloods.

I have pet insurance for my dog and it's a great help as it also covers routine services, heartworm, etc. The company also offers it for reptiles, but it only covers major medical treatments for accidents and illnesses - no routine checkups, fecals, etc. http://www.petinsurance.com/coverage...15983C00984FC3
