Escaped BP!
So, today I decided it'd been long enough for Eden to digest her food and I opened her cage...lifted the hide and...no snake! Idk how because there are no holes and the top was pinned down! We have had her houdini her way out before, so we checked all her usual spots. NOWHERE. She is housed on a back porch (Florida room) and there is a possibility she made it outside. We tore apart the backyard but found nothing. Is there any way to attract her to the porch? Would live bait possibly help? I'm still reeling over the fact that she got out again (her previous owner lost her the first 2 times) and I'm frantic. I don't need her missing for 3 months like last time!

How do you have the cage secured? Just pinning down the top with heavy objects isn't enough. Multiple escapes makes me think that's your problem. Sorry, I don't really know of any way to lure a snake from outside (just keep an eye on sidewalks, stepping stones, and other places that stay warm at night). But if you fix whatever the problem is with your caging that will at least keep this from happening with your other snakes.

Re: Escaped BP!
How big is the porch/florida room? Can you describe whats in it, like chairs, boxes, tables. I would suggest not keeping any smaller animals out side (especially in florida) because the damn raccoons will find a way to have at them. I've lost birds in the past this way. Did you check under the cage? If the clips are on but there is no snake, that sounds odd. I hate to make this assumption, but could someone have stolen your snake?
One thing that I would encourage is to make a few funnel traps and put them lined up with the walls. If the room is small enough then the chances are higher of the trap working. They are simple to build and harmless. If your absolutely sure nothing can get into the room, then you may consider putting a feeder in its cage with the top opened. Maybe going outside at night would turn up results.
The good news if she made it outside the porch is that she will likely do fine as ball pythons have been found in the everglades a few times

The room is the size of a small kitchen. It's sealed up except for an open dog door and a gap under the main door to the pool area. There's a whole lot of stuff out there but we dissected everything. Definitely not stolen we have huge dogs to guard the back yard. I set a mouse in a keeper in an overturned cardboard box to try luring her out.

The cage is secured by a pin on each side that's supposed to keep the lid tightly secured to the tank. We found by pushing up, she could've created the perfect gap to slip out with. We are more so worried by the fact that she left the porch. Any other time she went missing, she stuck to the porch. (We found her previous spots from poo and shed) We are hoping she just found a spot we haven't thought of and is close enough to be attracted to the live bait.

Is your pool area screened in? I don't know if it's possible, but maybe check your pool. I don't know the name, but you know the drain thing in the side of the pool, where it has the circle in the ground that you take out and it's full of leaves? Well the baby turtles and ring neck snakes get caught in that, so maybe check there. If your neighbors are nice enough, maybe they would allow you to search their yards. If it's beyond the porch then I would definitely try a few funnel traps. It's worth a shot

Re: Escaped BP!
Make a hot spot and try turn off other devices in the room. I found mine in the kitchen under fridge which s the only "hot " spot in the house. It's either heat or fresh water will get yr bp to pursuit.

This. And also maybe this too: get a wooden board big enough for your snake to be under, put it flat on the ground. Take one side and prop it up so there is just enough space for the snake to get under it and fit snug in the center of the board. If the sun hits it for a while then it will be good, if not then maybe make it a hotspot also.
