Let me start by saying my daughter is alright. However, yesterday we received one of the scariest phone calls a parent can get when our youngest daughter called to say she had been in a car accident. Your heart sinks. Like I already prefaced she is fine, thank God and the air bag manufacturers. The car, not so much, but its only a car.

So give your kids a hug today just because, or any loved one for that matter. You never know when things may turn on a dime.

One of the people who I was in acting with in highschool died in a car accident on his 20th birthday this last november. Another kid I didn't know, who was only 17, also died in the accident, and a girl I knew fairly well went to the hospital for a shattered collarbone, thank god she's okay.

It really feels awful to know that someone close to you died from such a preventable cause.
