Hey, I am not a expert in genetics, but if you mean how soon can you see egg and hatchling disabilities due to inbreeding. IDK. However, all in all I doubt if there is a specific number. There are several factors that would be considered causative and contributing. I do know that Dam to son and sire to daughter is common practice but I am sure that is risky also. Probably the further you go with relatives the more risky is a good rule of thumb. Stay in peace and not pieces.

Yes, but to line breed you have to inbreed. Thats how you get quality. And everything has a limit on how far you can go. I do plan on having thought out outcrosses in my breeding plans to try and avoid any recessive deformities from popping up. I don't see this subject brought up too much

It's worth pointing out that most of the mutations we have in the trade are all descended from a single individual (ie. all pinstripes are descended from one snake). To get supers, you simply have to breed snakes that are related in some way. Are there issues that arise? Kind of, but they aren't all that common and tend to be attached to mutations that were never without the issue (the wobble in spiders, womas, and champagnes; the kinking and duckbilling in super cinnamons; bug eyes in super lessers, etc.). Random birth defects do occur, such as small or missing eyes, but they're very rare from what I understand and I'm not even sure if those defects can be linked to inbreeding.

Most people line breed without much thought, from what I've been able to gather.
