All the snakes got new stuff

So this weekend all my snakes got some new items in their cages.
This is my king snakes cage his new thing was the rock looking hide

Sasha got the branch I stole from my mom since she didn't need it anymore. Had to rearrange the tank to get it to fit I'm happy with it.
This tank is for the smallest snake in the house... go figure but spent today working on it. Happy with the results. One of these days I promise to upload some good pics with an actual working camera

Those aerial hides are pretty cool in the second tank.

Took a long time to get those up so that they will be able to be used for years to come

I really like those aerial hides as well! What's living in there?

That's awesome. I don't know much about corn snakes, and I wasn't aware they climbed.

Most rat snakes are semi-arboreal. In fact when we think about the potential elevation changes even within a small stretch of forest giving our pets something to climb on is probably a good idea.

Take a fallen oak tree for example. The roots usually come up with it and that usually is 3-4 feet high by itself. That can create all sorts of hides for snakes and their prey. In the Planet Earth series it shows a gopher snake (considered terrestrial) scaling a 100-200 foot cliff to get to some baby birds.
