For the last 2 weeks (basicly since he came home from his walkabout) Sampson (3 year old 3.5 foot male BP) has decided he prefers the cold side of his tank. The temp/humidity is the same as it was previously, I have tryied flipping the tank as the cold side is in the corner and quieter with a different style hide (PVC hide v. a ceramic urn on the hot side that he is close to out growing) but he still gravitates to the cold side. I also flipped the hides around but again he was in the cold side. He is still active often poking his head out and even resting it on the rock shading the hides entrence. So far he is still eating redily and doesn't seem to mind being handled. He had just finished a shed when he came home, although he has shed monthly since I got him a little less then 6 months ago. His belly wound is completly closed up and no longer scabed over (bad UTH burn), and he has done a lot of filling out to where he looks properly fat. Should I bring the temp in the hot side down some, the only time he is there is when I wake up in the morning. They really are the same as before, and he seemed to want to bask last month non-stop. I know I'm a little obsessive over little things (as I said he's eating and active) but I'm still fairly new to this.
