    F/T Success!

Strudel skipped feeding day last week because she was in blue and still on live, and no way I'm gonna offer a live mouse to a half blind snake, even of she would eat it (not taking the chance). Last couple of days she's been either restlessly cruising her tub during dark hour, or sitting with half her body poking out of her hide in classic wait position, so I figured now was as good a time as any to try.

Struck, coiled, then snarfed that rat pup like a champ. Last I saw of her she was slithering into the warm side hide with a rather nice belly bump, lol. IfI can repeat this success in the next couple of weeks, I'll declare the deal sealed.

Just do cervical dislocation. I do that for my girl and my BCI and i'll be doing it for my soon to be sunglow BCI. No chance of accidents and a quick and least painful/slow way to die imo. But grats on getting your little girl to eat.

Strudel is just a liiiittle more nervous than Serket, although they've both been consistent feeders so far. Rather than either a) risk injury in a live feed or b) waste the money going out, and buying a live mouse, and killing it, only to have it refused anyway if she was too spooked, I just skipped. Figured one meal wouldn't hurt, and it made her nice and hungry for the attempt at f/t anyway, which worked in my favor

Makes sense. For me if my BP ever refused a meal, my BCI would eat it although it would be pretty small for her. And with my new BCI baby scheduled to get her Tuesday, i'll have another mouth able to eat anything my BP refuses although to be honest, she is more gung ho with eating than my BCI is

Ha, yeah I only got the two bp girls. Not as fond of boas, personally, but if I were to get one, it would probably be a Brazilian Rainbow.
