    Proud of myself!

I picked up Fuzzy! I've never picked up a snake, but this morning after changing the water in the water dish I decided to try. I reached in, pet Fuzzy for a while then went for it! I feel so much better. Thanks to everyone in my other post for tips and support.

Congrats! Glad you faced your fear. It always helps to pick them up from behind

Thank you! I did. I picked Fuzzy up from about the middle and s/he had turned its head away from me.

Gratz. Did you hold him for long or let him explore, or bug out pretty quick once he was in your hand?

See that's the thing - holding snakes hasn't bothered me for a long time, but I could never bring myself to pick one up. Until today that is!

Hey don't take this wrong, but my wife and daughters are the same way. They hate to pick them up, but they'll hold them forever.
