Do your balls ever get in a mood?after my ball took a poo and explored his cage for half an hour I decided to take him out. He was very touchy and active, unlike his usual self. He would not let me anywhere near his head, while he usually enjoys his cheek rubs. He usually finds a spot on me and settles down, but not today!

Also, he is still acting hungry. I feed him every five days, a 8-10 gram hopper. He is now 80 grams. What should I do about this? It seems like no matter how much I feed him he's always hungry, but I don't want to over Feed!

My BCI girl gets moody when she is getting rdy to shed. I can tell because her cheeks turn red and she darkens up a lot and actually uses her hide. During that time she is usually antisocial and wont hang her head outside the cage when I open the door. I leave her alone. After she sheds, she goes back to her social self where she sits on the litter dam of her cage for hours with the door open and usually has her head just sitting outside the cage watching stuff. My little pied bp girl is pretty well indifferent since she really spends most of her time in her hides anyways unless I take her out. Then she is fine and relaxes on me. Boas are much more of a social snake

Its hard to overfeed a growing baby. When I got Dot the pied girl, she was 102g and she was eating every 3-4 days. She would stand up like a cobra and get rdy to strike the screen top. She did that until recently. Since hitting 420g, I have up'd her to weanling/small rats once a week and she is much more mellow about food now. She pokes her head out of her hide when she smells her rat but doesn't go into starvation mode anymore. Babies are always hungry it seems. My BCI girl was the same way when she was a baby too and she outgrew it as well. Now both of them eat like champs but like I said, they don't act like they are starving. I say try to move up the feeding to every 3-4 days until he hits around 400g or so, then back it off to once a week.
