    Respiratory infection questions..

I just got a ball python in December, very healthy. In the last week I heard that his breathing was crackled and he was stretching out for minutes at a time. A few days later after raising his heat to 85-95, the crackled breathing stopped, but he is still slightly wheezing and quite active as usual. Does it seem like it's going away or what? Really need answers or opinions. Thanks.

Raising his heat was a good idea. I would make sure it stays between 82 and 92*F, and schedule a vet visit.

Okay and I won't have money to bring him in until next Wednesday.. So hopefully he doesn't get worse by then.

Are there any other symptoms? As the RI gets worse there is usually face rubbing, bubbles in the mouth, etc.
Also how is the humidity? If the environment is too dry the RI will likely continue to get worse.

    Good luck!

Nope, just slight wheezing and he does yawn every now and then, but not much, humidity has been 50.

Sounds good. I would just keep a close eye on it until you can get him to the vet. The sooner you catch it the better!
