Soft furs are what they prefer. But they say if they'll eat rats. Keep them on them. Because not many people breed soft furs. And they don't get as big as a rat does.

Yeah most people switch from hoppers to rat crawler or pups. If the hoppers aren't cutting it anymore and you think he's ready for the next size up, try it.
