This must be your other thread. You should put your heating source on one end of the cage, so your snake can have a proper temp gradient and can go to wherever it needs to regulate it. If the heat source is in the center of the enclosure, the snake only has either side of the source to cool down, and that may not offer enough of a temp drop anywhere in the enclosure.

in the first post, he shows his plastic tub setup. if you scroll down a bit, he shows how to keep humidity in with a mesh top. i did it last week and it works really well. and it is cheap, you just need foil and duct tape.

Looks great, the others hit the other points I would have mentioned so I'll just add that those cheap dial type thermometer and hygrometers are not nearly accurate enough, best to get a digital hygrometer and an IR temp gun. It will make dialing in your husbandry a lot easier and less frustrating. I good hygrometer should run you $15 to $20 and a IR temp gun around $25 to $35.

It appears the snake can only fit in one hide and that one likes small too, that right? You should have at least two.

The dials that you mounted at the top of the tank are useless where they are. Those usually don't work that well anyways but where they are at you might as well not even have them. You want to monitor the conditions where your snake actually is. Dials, gauges, and probes should be mounted near the substrate an inch or two from it is best. The way they are now I can guarantee that the numbers you think you are providing are wrong.

Your also going to need to cover most of the screen top to keep the heat and humidity in. Having the screen open and using aspen will give you some terrible sheds in the future, especially with the heat lamp. A good fix for low humidity is placing damp moss in the snakes hides. This creates higher humidity where the snake is most of the time and will give you great sheds even in a dry cage.

The half log hide you have can work but its not best. An easy fix to make it better would be covering one open with substrate and placing moss in the other. The moss is easy to crawl through but will give the hide a better feeling of security than having a big open door like it currently does. I know you want to see you snake but they really don't care about seeing you and you will have a much happier snake with more secure hides.
