    Them damn hides.

I recently deep cleaned and added a couple very small plants to my ball pythons tank. After putting him back in it he will not use either hide. He spent a bit roaming but now he has been chilling under the lamp on the ground and isn't moving much. Is this normal? He has only been in the tank a couple of hours but is usually always in his hide.

They do weird stuff. I took my little girl out today for some "get used to me time" and after she crawled around on me a few, I figured maybe she wanted some stretching exercise so I put her on the bed and after about 5 mins of crawling around, she went under the blanket and curled up and went to sleep. When I lifted the blanket off her, she lifted her head up and flicked her tongue at me a couple times But mine spends most of her time in her warm hide until dark, then she wanders around.

A chilling bp is a happy bp, even if they aren't doing it in a hide. Probably felt more secure to be out in the open with the addition of new plants! You should take that as a compliment to your interior tank decoration skills.

He seems to accept everything. I put quite a bit of work into the tank set up. Here is a pic.
