    New Ball Python Owner..?

    Greetings, I'm a brand spanking new BP owner. Bought my first snake last Friday (a week ago), took him home Saturday night. He's been here 6 nights now. I use cypress mulch as substrate to keep humidity because humidity in our house is low; (My daughter also uses a humidifier at night). I noticed he looks a little darker since when I first got him. . . I'm not sure if this is normal because he's using a different substrate than at the shop. He's been in his hides for 2 nights now since I feed him on Wednesday, which I heard was normal and that "A hiding ball python is a happy ball python"? Also he ate happily, I had no trouble with him. Just curious if his color difference is normal..? I'm a little worried, sorry.
