When the follicles are growing that is prime time for breeding! A male will want to breed a female who has follicles! This will also encourage her follicular development! Once you have a ovulation thats it then you will be getting a clutch of eggs if uv have luck on ur side and have done it all right. If not just slugs!

Follicles are just the the female ball python's egg cells (their half the genetic material) - they may or may not be fertilized. To answer your question, of course you continue to breed when follicles are there. It isn't until ovulation that the follicles reach the oviducts where they become fertilized. Only then are they considered gravid and you can for sure stop pairing.
