    Re: My first bp ever

Generally balls are pretty laid back and aren't too much of a threat for biting. I have had one (my first) for about three months and I think that they are ideal. I usually gently rub her side when I want to have her come out just to alert her that it is me pestering her and to be ready for me to move her. She will generally stay curled up and once in my hand start moving around to explore. If it is dark, in her area, she is usually out at the door exploring and will come right out and be ready for a cruise around the house with me. They are a great first snake and, with the info that you can glean from this forum, you'll have no issues taking care of it.
