    Is this big enough???

Hello everyone, my husband plans on making me an enclosure for both my snakes this spring. I have been trying to price DIY enclosures to ones that are already made. So my question is, will a T8 from Animal Plastics be big enough to house both my snakes without needing to go larger? If not what size do you suggest for 2 with a divider or what size for each one if I need to buy seperately?

You want to house two BPs together?

No, I am asking about 1 unit with a divider. I do not house them together.

    Re: Is this big enough???

A T8 will do just fine split for two snakes but I'd personally recommend splurging a bit and getting the T10 or make it a bit taller (if you're making your own enclosure). It makes cleaning a bit easier. Here's a photo of my setup. T8 is on the top and T10 is on the bottom.

Thank you! All three of my enclosures are Animal Plastics and I love them!

If you get a PVC enclosure, Radiant Heat Panels ( RHP) are your friends. They heat the whole enclosure without sucking the humidity. Thankfully since the RHPs get controlled by the Herpstat thermostats, the enclosures become pretty self-sufficient with proper ambient heat that get adjusted by the thermostat and great humidity levels from the coco husk substrate.

Yes, 4' by 2' split enclosure is a good size in my opinion for two snakes. The reason I mention the T10 is because it's three inches taller. It might not seem like a big difference, but personally, a taller enclosure is a lot easier to clean.

If you have a female that grows to be six feet and 3,000-4,000 grams it might be a little cramped, but that's a big if.

By the way, here's a whole thread about the T8 enclosure so you can decide with other people's opinions if it's something you're interested in:
