Ac or fan or exhaust fan are your best options.

What are you using to heat the room and how is it regulated?

    Re: Cooling Reptile Room

I have to run a large window unit in my reptile room due to the heat from all the UV and incandescent bulbs. Even during the winter months, the ac is running anytime the lights are on. I maintain the room temperature around 80 degrees during the daytime.

I use nothing to heat the room at all. I live in south Florida and its 65 out right now, 91 in the room with the window open and two fans on high, plus a ceiling fan. My house has 3 people in it, and it is small, so it is very cramped. My herp room is my bedroom. I only have chameleons, tortoises, and aquatic turtles at the time, so CHE's, Basking bulbs, and uvbs. These are controlled on timers.

Fans just push air around. The motors in them generate heat too, especially with them on high. It's the bulbs and CHEs that are pushing your heat up the most though. Little window units can work wonders in such a situation.

I am building a reptile shed in the near future (2 months) so if I get a window ac, it will be a large one. The shed is going to be 8x20 with an 11 ft roof.
