This will probably be the first of many question threads I make, but I decided to make this one first because it could be more urgent than the others.

Earlier this morning, soon after getting up, I kept hearing a whistling breath noise. Being an asthmatic, I first assumed it was me; however, when I held my breath, I could hear it coming from Maggie's tank. She'd just dunked her head in her water bowl, so I figured it was that until it happened again. I took her out of her tank and let her slither about on my bed, and she would still periodically whistle; it would come and go, and she did open her mouth once (but that could've been a yawn).

I'm sitting here trying to decide whether or not to call the vet. I know that whistling can be a sign of a RI, but she's also shedding (the skin is just starting to come off her chin). Could it just be from her shed, like the old skin messing with her nostrils? Or water getting in her nose? I haven't looked in her mouth, as I'm not quite sure how to hold her while doing that, but I haven't seen any bubbles or liquid or mucus around her nose or mouth. Fortunately the nearest herp vet is like 5 minutes away so that's not a problem. I just want to make sure my scaly baby is okay. ;~;
